While most of this training is intended for pilots and essential aircrew, it is open to everyone and a great way to learn about the aircrafts.
This is typically broken up into two parts:
Provided by CAF Headquarters and may be accomplished at any time.
Training specific for our Unit and aircraft.
The most recent document versions can be found on the CAF Operations Document Resources page. You will want to review:
CAFR 60-1 Flight Operations
CAFR 60-2 Aircrew Training
CAFR 60-4 Safety Management System (SMS)
CAFR 66-1 Aircraft Maintenance
Initial pilot and essential aircrew ground training will be accomplished before any flight training or evaluation begins.
Recurrent ground training will be conducted every 12 calendar months before any recurrent flight evaluation is accomplished.
All initial and recurrent pilots and essential flight crew members will receive emergency egress and first aid training for their aircraft.
